Please be advised Astute Internet will be performing maintenance on the Toronto network from 21:00 to 23:00 ET on Thursday, July 16th . During this maintenance we will be turning up a number of new trunk links between distribution and edge network devices at the Toronto DC to improve redundancy and throughput, and mitigate the risk of future outages due to link failure. This maintenance will also include some general network upkeep.
The addition of these new network paths will mean multiple changes to the existing layer2 spanning-tree topology. Changes to the spanning-tree topology are generally without impact to customer services, however there is always the possibility for a brief disruption as spanning-tree discovers it's new stable state. Customers should be prepared for a few intermittent outages of up to 3 minutes each in case spanning-tree takes longer than usual to stabilize, or a reversion is required.
